FAQs Friday Nights
Q: What to bring?
A: You’ll need to bring a towel to wipe your hands and to clean up afterwards. We supply tools and clay!
Q: What do I wear to Friday Clay Night?
A: Wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothes that you wouldn't mind getting a bit messy, clay does not stain clothes. Removing rings, bracelets, and watches is also recommended.
Note: Long or acrylic nails will make wheel throwing challenging.
Q: Can I make a mug during Friday Clay Night?
A: Unfortunately no, attaching a handle requires the clay to dry to a leather-hard state, which can take a few days. However, the instructor can guide you in making a cup! Check out our 8 Week course where you can make attachments to your piece.
Q: Do I come back to paint the pottery?
A: No need to, we can do it for you! Choose from our stoneware glazes in studio to glaze your piece.
Q: How soon can I get my pottery back?
A: About 4-6 weeks. Each piece must be trimmed, dry, fired, glazed, and fired a second time.
Q: Can I throw if I am injured or have a physical impairment?
A: Yes, but please reach out prior to class to discuss options with our staff. Please email junkpotstudio@gmail.com with any questions or requests.
